Republic of Slovenia (Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, ACPDR) chaired the 2016 autumn session of the DPPI SEE regional meeting in its role of the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office for the year 2016. Over the course of the two-day meeting, the DPPI SEE member countries reviewed the progress of implementation of the annual work programme of the Initiative, notably in the period April - November 2016 while building upon the outcomes of the 32nd DPPI SEE regional meeting held in Portorož, Slovenia, 5 - 6 April 2016.

The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, in its role of the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office for 2016, hosted the 32nd DPPI SEE regional meeting in the Adriatic coastal city of Portorož (Slovenia) on two consecutive days, 5 - 6 April 2016. The spring session 2016 analysed, discussed and further provided guidance and concrete recommendations 

The 31st regional meeting of the Disaster Preparednes and Prevention Initiative for South Eatsern Europe (DPPI SEE) was held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 3 and 4 November 2015. The autumn session 2015 was co-hosted by Serbia in its capacity of the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office 2015 and DPPI SEE Secretariat. 

The 30th DPPI SEE regional meeting was held in Belgrade and was hosted by the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia in its capacity of the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office 2015.

The 29th regional meeting of the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Initiative of South Eastern Europe (DPPI SEE) was held in Sarajevo, the seat of the DPPI SEE Secretariat. The meeting was hosted by the DPPI SEE Secretariat and was co-organised with the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro in its capacity of the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office Anchor2014.

The XXVIII DPPI SEE Regional meeting was held on 23 - 24 April 2014 in Pržno, Montenegro and was hosted by the Directorate for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro in its capacity of the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office 2014.

Following the Command, Control and Coordination Course (November 2013, Serbia) being the 1st activity in the set of those planned within the DPPI SE JERU project, on 20 January 2014 the 3rd JERU planning meeting was held in Sarajevo whereby representatives of 9 project participating countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey) discussed on further implementation of the project activities in 2014 onwards.  

Eight DPPI SEE member countries sign the new Memorandum of Understanding on the Institutional Framework of the Disaster Preparedness and Prevention Initiative for South Eastern Europe (DPPI SEE) On 28th November 2013, Day I Iof the XXVII DPPI SEE regional meeting, 8 countries of the region (Albania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovenia and Turkey) signed the Memorandum of Understanding for the 2nd time thereby extending the mandate of the Initiative for an indefinite period of time.

XXV DPPI SEE Regional Meeting was held on 13 - 14 November 2012 in Sarajevo, the seat of DPPI SEE Secretariat and was hosted/ organized by the DPPI SEE Secretariat in close cooperation with Bulgaria, the DPPI SEE Chair-in-Office 2012. As per usual practice, the Agenda of the meeting covered a variety of subjects, including a number of internal institutional issues of importance for undeterred future functioning of the DPPI SEE.
